Sunday April 20th 2pm – 5 pm  Usborne Book fair

Ryde Castle Hotel  are playing host to an Usborne Book fair for the benefit of the local community. We are planning on getting lots of FREE books for the local schools. Come along and join the fun. There will be prizes for colouring competitions for children and they can also find the duck. We will be running story telling sessions. Any child who brings a book he/she has finished with (in good condition) will be invited to have a dip in the Pirates Treasure chest. These books will recycled for a good cause.

Child Minders – come and see books that Ofsted love!!

Parents -see what a range of books we have to help your child with homework or just to keep them entertained!

Children come and have fun.

Grandparents come and find the perfect present for your grandchildren.

Business owners – come and find out how you can help local schools by donating a book in our community book pledge scheme. We are planning to get £5000 in book pledges from the local business community. Usborne will then match that with a further £3000 of books which will be donated to the local schools. Many local business people have already pledged their support with donations. These businesses will shortly be listed on this site.g A book plate will be inserted acknowledging the donor and we will advertise these businesses through our customer bags as well as on our organiser websites. Many thanks to those who have already supported this scheme.
