If you would like a book party but can’t find the time or don’t have the room, I have a solution. I can set up a virtual party for you. Likewise I can set up fundraising book events for charities too.

Schools/organisations can become fundraisers with Barefoot which means they can have all the profit for the group with commissions from 20%-50% it is an attractive option and if they then tell other schools – they can benefit from that too.

For seven years, I have been an organiser with Usborne books. I have throughly loved my Usborne career as I travelled the length and the breadth of the country from the Isle of Wight to Aberdeen. I finally decided to move on to pastures new and so have resigned my position with Usborne.

There are several new challenges and I am looking forward to them all. I have become an independent distributor for a company that helps others save on their essential bills. For this I will be trading as Lyn’s Utility Biz I am looking forward to helping people save  money and also recruiting other distributors who want to earn an income by helping others.

I have also become the advertsing consultant for The Rainbow Directory . This is a family directory with a distribution of 20,000 copies across the Isle of Wight 3 times a year. 17,000 copies are distributed via the school book bags.

I have also just become the feature writer for Wightblog  which covers news and events for the Isle of Wight.

My brother has also asked me to be his marketing manager for his photographic business and I am just awaiting his new website.

I also have one or two other things up my sleeve – to be revealed soon. That should keep me out of mischief for a little while. In between times , I am granny to two gorgeous little girls, Nicola and Charlotte who are 2 and have just started preschool. They now chat regulalry to me on the phone telling me what they have been up to. 

I am having a great time and really looking forward to the next few months with all the changes.

Wow what a great leadership training meeting Usborne ran yesterday!! Great meeting in the morning then the travel incentive was announced after lunch followed by a brilliant talk by Mark Rhodes (NLP speaker) rhodes2success It was such a red hot talk that the fire alarm went off!!!!!! We had to evacuate and return for the end of the talk. Yet another brilliant Usborne day. Now I am looking for people who would like to win the Usborne trip to Hong Kong as a reward for growing their own home based business and earning money whilst having fun!!!  Who wouldn’t????

On Sunday 5th April, Ryde castle Hotel will be hosting an Usborne activity afternoon and book display. There will be colouring competitions, find the duck, story telling . Enter the £100 FREE prize draw. I will be working with one or two of my Usborne team to providing an entertaining activity afternoon. Pop along between 2 and 5 to the Ryde Castle Hotel on Ryde esplanade. There will also be a display of Usborne books with many bargain buys. Well it has been a very busy week and I am on Usborne book fair number 3 and event number 4 since Sunday!! I started the week with a sale in Haslemere on Sunday raising funds for the British Lung Foundation. Then on Tuesday, I attended Mayfield Middle school and ran an all day Usborne Book fair and returned in the evening to attend their parent evening where I sold even more books. Mrs Holbrook, the school librarian, will shortly be using her commission to get lots of FREE books for the school.

Yesterday I attended Brading Primary school and both the literacy co-ordinator and I were delighted with the number of parents attending. It is only a small school but Julia and Liz were thrilled to be able to choose some FREE books for the school library and I am sure I will be invited back. I have also received a donation from Maddie Patterson for some extra books for the school library. Maddie runs her business coaching business from the Island and we are very grateful to her for her generous donation.

I have another book fair this afternoon at Broadlea so will report back later as I have an appointment now with someone who want to take advantage of the £5 starter kit offer and who wants to run their own business.
