About Me

I am Lyn and I have a 30 year teaching background. For the last 17 years, I have also been selling children’s books – first alongside my teaching and then full time. I have been a distributor for various book publishers. Recently, I became an Ambassador for Barefoot books and I also renewed my distributorship with Child’s play books. I am passionate about children’s learning and love helping them in any way I can – the more fun the better.
I am a past president of The Vectis Sunrise Rotary club and enjoy helping others (the Rotary motto is service above self). I am a member of the Island Business Network group and also the Business at Breakfast group where I meet ith other members and we endeavour to get business referrals for each other.
This year, I also became a distributor with Utility Warehouse and I enjoy helping people save money alongside running my book business. I have also decided to do my bit to save the planet and decided to help others to go greener too via my Wikaniko website
I have just become a committee member for the Federation of Small Businesses.
I also work for Polly at the Rainbow Directory. As you can see I like to be busy! When I am not working on my businesses, I enjoy time with my twin grandaughters (and their parents – my daughter Natasha and her husband Craig) I also have two sons. Just to keep me out of mischief, I am a live in carer for my parents!
