Usborne school book fair

Usborne Book fair at Oakfields school

Nikki, Angela and I attended Oakfield school this week and set up an Usborne Book fair which the parents and children attended after Mrs Fairhurst, the head teacher gave a very informative talk about how the parents could help their children with reading. We sold quite a lot of books and are returning later in the month when they are celebrating National Story Telling month by holiding an Alice in Wonderland day. Following that, we will be giving FREE books to the school (of their choice) as their commission. We love giving away FREE books and Usborne have a brilliant commission structure whereby we can give up to 60% in FREE books or 40% in cash discount to schools and other organisations. See Lyns Book Biz for details. Not only do we have school book fairs but also sponsored reads and sponsored listens (Ready Steady Read/Listen) and we also have a community book pledge where local businesses big or small, can donate a book(s) to local school. This can be organised for any school. Brading school recently held a sponsored read and will soon be choosing their FREE books. Many local businesses have been donating books to local schools too. We are looking forward to giving away more FREE books soon.
