I am Lyn Blackledge, (an ex teacher) and have been selling children's books for 17 years.I have sold for various publishers but now have a variety and am adding to the range as and when I discover gorgeous new books. I am having a lot of fun and making a lot of friends. I also run other businesses from home so basically I have my own big department store! I am an Ambassador for Barefoot books and a distributor for Child's Play books. I have recently become a distributor for Wikaniko - (helping people take small green steps to save the Earth without costing the Earth) http://lynsgreenbiz.co.uk I also enjoy helping people save money on their essential household bills (http://lynsutilitybiz.co.uk) I am also a Rotarian and am a past president. - motto service above self and I love helping to fundraise for charity as well as enjoying the camaraderie of the Vectis sunrise group. I have the responsibility of being a carer for my mum and at the other end of the scale I am granny to Charlotte, Nicola and Jennifer. As you can see I am quite busy but I love it and enjoy life to the full.

Oh what a busy Usborne day

I had lots of Usborne and non Usborne things to do today.

It was a very busy day but as it was nice and sunny it helped me get through the day.  I love my Usborne job and there are always thigs to do. If I am not out selling then I am at home promoting the business and booking more events or typing invoices for books supplied to surestart groups of ringing schools about book fairs. Today I didn;t leave the house but was just busy, busy . busy!!

I booked a sale at the Isle of Wight College, made a provisional booking with a school and wrote to news editor at Isle of Wight radio. I started a long invoice for books supplied to a Surestart group and then had an attack of the sneezes and hey red nose day was Friday but not according to my nose now!!

I chatted on facebook to members of my team and shared some humour. Life is so about having fun!!!  I was intending to go to bed at 10 and here it is now at 1.30 and I am still awake.I was just going when a film started and I got hooked. Then I realised I hadn’t  blogged and now I have just remembered I need to bid for the business builder leads – a priviledge for Usborne executive club members. I will finally get to bed about 2 and if I dont sneeze then I might get to sleep and then up at 6 for Business at breakfast!! I so enjoy what I do. Well maybe not the sneezing bit!!!!!
