I am Lyn Blackledge, (an ex teacher) and have been selling children's books for 17 years.I have sold for various publishers but now have a variety and am adding to the range as and when I discover gorgeous new books. I am having a lot of fun and making a lot of friends. I also run other businesses from home so basically I have my own big department store! I am an Ambassador for Barefoot books and a distributor for Child's Play books. I have recently become a distributor for Wikaniko - (helping people take small green steps to save the Earth without costing the Earth) http://lynsgreenbiz.co.uk I also enjoy helping people save money on their essential household bills (http://lynsutilitybiz.co.uk) I am also a Rotarian and am a past president. - motto service above self and I love helping to fundraise for charity as well as enjoying the camaraderie of the Vectis sunrise group. I have the responsibility of being a carer for my mum and at the other end of the scale I am granny to Charlotte, Nicola and Jennifer. As you can see I am quite busy but I love it and enjoy life to the full.

Usborne Books and World Book day

How Usborne Books can help on World Book day

World Book day will soon be upon us and my Usborne books organsiers all round the country  are  taking bookings for school/preschool book fairs. All primary school children will be given a £1 book token to use so this is an ideal time to arrnge an Usborne book event. Pre schools anf secondary schools can apply for the vouchers. Usborne Book organisers arrange everything leaving  teachers free to teach. You will have no bulky book cases and no paperwork. All we need is a space to put up the Usborne Book display and we ask schools to inform the parents. All round the country schools are getting lots of FREE books following succesful  Usborne school book fairs.Some prefer to run the Usborne sponsored read/listen programme. Why not request a pack to find out how easy it is to get lots of free books by holding an Usborne Ready Steady Read or Ready Steady Listen.

World Book day is March 5th but we can redeem the vouchers between 16th February and 30th April so there is plenty of time to fit an Usborne event into your busy school calendar.
