I am Lyn Blackledge, (an ex teacher) and have been selling children's books for 17 years.I have sold for various publishers but now have a variety and am adding to the range as and when I discover gorgeous new books. I am having a lot of fun and making a lot of friends. I also run other businesses from home so basically I have my own big department store! I am an Ambassador for Barefoot books and a distributor for Child's Play books. I have recently become a distributor for Wikaniko - (helping people take small green steps to save the Earth without costing the Earth) http://lynsgreenbiz.co.uk I also enjoy helping people save money on their essential household bills (http://lynsutilitybiz.co.uk) I am also a Rotarian and am a past president. - motto service above self and I love helping to fundraise for charity as well as enjoying the camaraderie of the Vectis sunrise group. I have the responsibility of being a carer for my mum and at the other end of the scale I am granny to Charlotte, Nicola and Jennifer. As you can see I am quite busy but I love it and enjoy life to the full.

Usborne winners of the Paris trip and the Usborne Leaders accolade

Usborne winners.

Here are some of the excited winners of the Usborne Leaders accolade, many of whom also won a day trip, all expenses paid to Paris with dinner up the Eiffel Tower and a trip down the Seine!! How I love being an Usborne Representative. I work hard and then I play hard. That’s me on the left side of the picture. Its not long now until 43 of us head off to be spoilt rotten by Usborne on a five day cruise visiting Mexico and Miami!! How I love my job and when I am not partying or holidaying, I love presenting my scrummy Usborne books to parents, teachers, children via school book fairs, coffee mornings, book parties, sponsored reads/listens etc. If I do this well through the spring and summer then I will be off on the Orient Express in the Autumn (the next incentive to be worked for!!) and I don’t ntend to be left behind and will work hard to help my team achieve this goal too.
