I am Lyn Blackledge, (an ex teacher) and have been selling children's books for 17 years.I have sold for various publishers but now have a variety and am adding to the range as and when I discover gorgeous new books. I am having a lot of fun and making a lot of friends. I also run other businesses from home so basically I have my own big department store! I am an Ambassador for Barefoot books and a distributor for Child's Play books. I have recently become a distributor for Wikaniko - (helping people take small green steps to save the Earth without costing the Earth) http://lynsgreenbiz.co.uk I also enjoy helping people save money on their essential household bills (http://lynsutilitybiz.co.uk) I am also a Rotarian and am a past president. - motto service above self and I love helping to fundraise for charity as well as enjoying the camaraderie of the Vectis sunrise group. I have the responsibility of being a carer for my mum and at the other end of the scale I am granny to Charlotte, Nicola and Jennifer. As you can see I am quite busy but I love it and enjoy life to the full.

Newport Carnival

Angela and I have been out selling our gorgeous Usborne books down on the Town Quay in Newport. It was Newport Carnival day and there was fun and entertainment all day. Again we battled with the wind to get the gazeebo up but the rain held off although it was very blustery. We were also promoting the Usborne Home based business opportunity. It is only £10 to join this week. A fantastic bargain and a great opportunity to start up your own business. Nikki was out at the Brightstone show doing the same!

    As Lyn said we had a very good day, blown to pieces but met lots of very nice people and one particular lady who wants to raise money for her school, so naturally we can help there so will keep in contact with her.
