Oh dear is it really that long since I blogged!!

Where did that last week go? It was a very busy week but I can’t believe more than as week has gone by since I blogged so I had better put that right!! I better look in the diary to see what I did!!

I have to mention the manic day I had last Thursday. As usual, I went to the Island Business Network breaskfast meeting at the Riverside centre in Newport. Gary of radi8, my geek (someone who knows all the technical stuff to do with my website etc!!), Bob the Shedman and I all attend this meeting but we had another meeting arranged  at my house. Bob very kindly pledged some books in the Usborne Community Book pledge and the books were being donated to Sandham middle school. Gary and I were doing a podcast with Bob (but without Polly of the Rainbow Directory this week as she was busy with publication of the directory) but there was much to be done before the podcast! Life was manic as usual. We had to dash to Sandown and wash my van! well I say we but for that read Gary (thanks Gary) and then take it to A1 signs of Sandown 01983 405677 .

Lyn\'s Van

Dave worked on my van  while Gary and I dashed off with Bob to do a photoshoot of the children with Alison, the librarian and the children  receiving the FREE Usborne books on behalf of the school. We then popped round to my house to do the latest podcast with Bob and then later in the day I returned to Sandown (thanks Gary for the lift) and WOW what a brilliant job Dave of A1 signs did. I have waited 3 years to get my van done but what a brilliant job. It looks fantastic and that was greatly endorsed  on Tuesday and yesterday by lots of people when I attended the Usborne Executive club conference and the Summer conference. There were so many wonderful comments. Gary took some pictures and as he is in his office this afternoon, I am sure he will be posting the pictures of the van. You will then be able to see both Gary’s and Dave’s work Gary designed the graphics and Dave took great care in applying them. I was so excited!! It will promote my business BIG TIME. Money extremely well spent!!

  4. I think its great both the design (Gary) and the execution Dave of A1 Signs. You can’t miss me now!!

  5. Travelled in the van for the first time yesterday to Newport Carnival. As we arrived I saw lots of people looking at us travelling in our big balloon. It looks lovely, a very nice design and very well executed. Well done all three of you.

  6. Thanks Angela, having the van graphics done certainly is getting us noticed. Designed by Gary of radi8 and graphics applied by A1 signs of Sandown.I have had loads of complimentary remarks.
I see what you mean by us travelling in our big balloon. The balloon to which Angela is referring is, indeed the Usborne logo which can be seen on my van doors – a very big logo indeed. We were actually in the van but were indeed flying the Usborne balloon in terms of being out promoting our Usborne Books business. You can’t mistake what we do!!!!!!!!!!!
